Case History #1: Summary

Client/Sector: Subsidiary of a large multi-national telecoms company

Client Contact: CEO & HR Director

Introduction: Referral

Key Objective: To improve commercial awareness

Briefing: The client had intended out-sourcing activities not considered part of its core business. The management team in one of the cost centres affected proposed an alternative where their unit became a wholly owned subsidiary, competing for both internal and external business and this was accepted. The challenge for the new subsidiary's directors was to change from "cost centre" to "profit centre" mentality. To achieve this, they needed middle managers to undertake a major cultural shift.

Customisation: Scoring system weighted to emphasise the needs of client's customer base plus related strategic interventions

Venue: Management training centre for on-site days; teams organised their own interim board meetings

Event Launch: On-site Launch Day at in-house conference centre organised by client
